Gold leaf gilding is an ancient technique consisting of applying fine leaves of gold to a prepared surface. We use it on antique mirrors, gilded frames, consoles, sculptures, decorative elements, supports in wood, plaster or metal, and on collector and ceremonial pieces.
Restoring an antique mirror requires precise expertise: diagnosis and condition assessment, consolidation and repair of the wooden structure, restoration of ornaments and sculptures, gilding retouches as close as possible to the original, finishes and conservation treatment.
A gilded frame from the 18th or 19th century is a work of art in its own right. We work on every type of frame: Louis XIV, Régence, Louis XV, Louis XVI, Empire, Napoléon III, Restauration, Art Nouveau.
We restore statues, tabernacles, panelling, consoles and interior architectural elements in gilt-wood. Our expertise in polychromy allows us to work on antique painted and gilded surfaces.

Yes, we work exclusively with true gold leaf (22 to 24 carats) on antique pieces, applied using traditional oil or water gilding techniques.

Yes, the workshop regularly works with antique dealers, decorators, second-hand shops, auctioneers and institutions.

Yes. We regularly receive pieces shipped from the Gard, Aude, Pyrénées-Orientales and the rest of Occitanie. We advise on packaging and the carrier.
Yes, we prepare condition reports, detailed quotes and damage assessments accepted by insurance companies and auctioneers.
Dust gently with a natural feather duster. Avoid damp cloths, household products and direct exposure to sunlight or heat. A care sheet is provided after each restoration.
Each restoration is documented (photos, materials used, stages) and carries a one-year guarantee under normal conditions of use.
